Limited  Warranty & Return Policy - Parts & Repair Services

Any product, or part thereof, sold by Independent Technology Service Inc., which, under normal operating conditions in the plant of the original purchaser thereof, proves defective in material or workmanship within specified time from the date of shipment by us, as determined by an inspection by us, will be repaired or replaced, at our discretion, free of charge for repair.  Customer is responsible for the shipping costs. 

Provided that you promptly send to us notice of the defect and establish that the product has been properly installed, maintained, and operated within the limits of rated and normal usage, and that no factory sealed adjustments have been tampered with or damage has occurred from contamination. 

 

Parts not covered under warranty include

  • Any physically damaged parts due to machine malfunctiion, crash or improper installation including motors, spindles and ballscrews. 
  • Motor windings that have failed because of over current conditions that cause severe thermal deterioration of the insulation which results in an electrical short and/or burnt motor. 
  • Amplifiers or CNC Boards with blown traces and burned IC's are not covered under warranty.
  • Spindles with coolant contamination or burned up bearings are not covered under warranty. Failure to hook up air to the Spindle or run it past its Duty Cycle will also void the warranty.

All new parts sold and manufactured by Independent Technology Service carries a one to three year warranty. Remanufactured parts and repairs carry a six month warranty. Spindle and Rotary Rebuilds carry a one year warranty. We also honor our vendors warranty on parts which means we may need to send them the part to determine if the warranty is valid. If within the first 30 days you have a part fail or you receive a defective part we will send you an advance replacement at no charge. We will then issue you an RMA to return the part at your expense. If you need an advance exchange shipped faster than ground you will pay the difference in shipping.

All returned parts are subject to a restocking charge up to 25%. All returned parts require you to contact Independent Technology Service for a Return Material Authorization ( RMA#). All returns paid by credit card by no fault of Independent Technology Service will be charged a 5% credit card processing fee.

Independent Technology Service Inc. or its agents liability is limited to the repair or replacement of defective parts. Repaired items will carry a six month warranty or until fulfillment of original warranty time whichever is greater.

All expressed and implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are limited in duration to the warranty period, and no warranties, whether expressed or implied, will apply after this period.

Under no circumstances shall Independent Technology Service Inc. or any of our affiliates have any liability whatsoever for claims and damages arising out of the loss of use of any product or part sold to you. Nor shall we have any liability to yourself or anyone for any indirect or consequential damages such as injuries to person and property caused directly or indirectly by the product or part sold to you, and you agree in accepting our product or part to save us harmless from any and all such claims or damages that may be initiated against us by third parties.
